| Hong Kong Baptist Mr. & Mrs. Au Shue Hung Rehabilitation and Healthcare Home was officially opened on 12 December, 2009. The Home was established with the sponsorship of Au Shue Hung Foundation Company Limited, an Honorary Trustee of HKBU Foundation. It was set up in view of the needs of the aging population. |

| Mr. Wong Kam-fai, BBS, MH, Founder of the Kum Shing Group has been honoured as the "Philanthropist of the Year" at the "2009 The Grand Charity Ceremony" held in Guangzhou. The award was organised by the Overseas Chinese Affairs of Guangdong and Southern Television Guangdong. Mr. Wong, one of ten recipients of the honour this year, was recognised for his invaluable contributions in developing schools in underdeveloped regions throughout the Mainland. His founding enterprise, Kum Shing Group, is the Honorary Permanent President of HKBU Foundation and is an ardent supporter of the University. |

Dr. Wong is currently the Managing Director of United Overseas Investments Limited. |

| Mr. Irons Sze, Member of the Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation, became Chairman of the "2009/2010 Hong Kong and Kowloon Walk for Millions" of The Community Chest in November. Mr. Sze is currently Executive Director of Hang Tung Resources Holding Limited. The Charity walk, scheduled for 10 January 2010, raises funds to meet the increasing needs of the growing elderly population. |
