| The University receives HK$ 1m from GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Limited | | 08 February 2010 | | |  | Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) has received a generous donation of HK$1 million from GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Limited (GCL), designated for the Advanced Institute for Contemporary China Studies for an environmental study.
At the cheque presentation ceremony, Ms. Sun Wei, Director and Executive Vice President, Golden Concord Holdings Limited (right), presented a donation cheque of HK$1 million to Professor Ng Ching-fai, GBS, President and Vice-Chancellor, HKBU (left). The ceremony was attended by the GCL management, Friends of the HKBU Foundation and staff of the University, including Mr. Richard Li Jian, Executive Director, Golden Concord Holdings Limited; Mr. Barton Yu, Vice President and Executive Director, GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Limited; Mr. Tom K.T. Tong, Vice President, GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Limited; Mr. Samuel Y. M.
