Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) received a generous donation of HK$1 million from Mr. Frank Lau (third from left), Chairman of Sun On-Sunnex International Holdings Limited and China Silk Enterprises Limited, designated for the University's institutional advancement. A generous donor, Mr. Lau has made contributions to numerous community projects and charity work in Hong Kong and on the Mainland over the years.

In recognition of Mr. Lau's generous support, a cheque presentation ceremony was held on 27 September at HKBU. Professor Albert S.C. Chan (second from left), President and Vice-Chancellor, received the donation on behalf of the University. Guests present at the ceremony included Mrs. Lau and Mr. Lau's family members, Mr. Lau Chor-tak, Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation, and his wife, Professor Frank Fu, MH, JP, Associate Vice-President of HKBU and Secretary General of the HKBU Foundation, as well as Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement. Following the ceremony, Mr. Frank Lau together with all the guests also visited the School of Chinese Medicine.
