The University receives HK$ 1m from the Heung Yee Kuk N.T.

The Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) received a generous donation of HK$1 million from Heung Yee Kuk N.T. (HYK) to publish a book entitled A History of the Heung Yee Kuk N.T..

In recognition of HYK's generous support, a cheque presentation ceremony was held on 28 April at HKBU. The ceremony was officiated by Mr. Lau Wong-fat, GBM, GBS, JP, Chairman of HYK (third from right); Mr. Daniel Lam, SBS, JP, Vice Chairman of HYK (second from left); Mr. Cheung Hok-ming, GBS, JP, Vice Chairman of HYK (first from right); Professor Albert Chan, President and Vice-Chancellor, HKBU (second from right); Professor Rick Wong, Vice-President (Research and Development), HKBU (third from left); and Professor Victor Sit, Director of the Advanced Institute for Contemporary China Studies, HKBU (first from left). Following the ceremony, Mr. Lau, together with the guests, visited the Advanced Institute for Contemporary China Studies and attended the lunch hosted by Professor Albert Chan.
 

 
Mr. Lau Wong-fat (third from right), together with representatives from Heung Yee Kuk N.T. and HKBU visited the Advanced Institute for Contemporary China Studies.   The Chinese version of A History of Heung Yee Kuk N.T. is now available at local bookshops.
