 | Mr. Joseph Lee and Dr. the Honourable Lee Shau Kee will be conferred Honorary Doctorate
12 October 2011 | HKBU will confer honorary doctoral degrees on four distinguished persons for their outstanding business, political or professional achievements as well as their remarkable contributions to society at its Commencement scheduled for 7 November.
Mr. Joseph Lee, SBS, JP, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Governors of the HKBU Foundation, will receive the degree of Doctor of Social Sciences, honoris causa. Dr. the Honourable Lee Shau Kee, GBM, Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation, will be awarded the degree of Doctor of Business Administration, honoris causa. Mr. Jimmy Carter, the former US president who devotes a life time to promoting peace and hope, will be awarded the degree of Doctor of Humanities, honoris causa. Mr. Li Lanqing, the former Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China and an artist, will be granted the degree of Doctor of Humanities, honoris causa.
