The University held the grand opening of an art exhibition entitled "Enchanted Time and Space" by Professor Dominic Lam at the Dr. and Mrs. Sze Chi Ching Exhibition Gallery on 20 December 2011. Officiating guests were Dr. Sze Chi Ching, Chairman of Hang Tung Resources Holding Limited; Mr. David Mong, Chairman of the Shun Hing Education and Charity Fund and Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation; Mr. Laurence Tam, former Chief Curator of the Hong Kong Museum of Art; Mr. Wilfred Wong, SBS, JP, Chairman of the HKBU Foundation cum Chairman of the Council and the Court; Professor Albert Chan, President and Vice-Chancellor, and Professor Dominic Lam, Fung Hon Chu Endowed Chair of Humanics. The exhibition was visited by a number of distinguished guests including Mr. Frank Lau Ying Wah, Honorary President of the HKBU Foundation, and Dr. & Mrs. Tam Wah Ching, Honorary Director of the HKBU Foundation. Professor Dominic Lam is a world-renowned ophthalmologist and a distinguished practising artist. In 1980, he discovered Chromoskedasic Painting, also known as NanoArt, in which colour images are produced using only black and white photographic paper and solutions. The exhibition is being held at the Dr. and Mrs. Sze Chi Ching Exhibition Gallery, Lam Woo International Conference Centre until 28 February 2012. |
