	Mr. Wilfred Wong appointed as Chairman of the Standing Commission on Civil Service Salaries and Conditions of Service 18 July 2012
	Mr. Wilfred Wong, SBS, JP, Chairman of the HKBU Foundation and Chairman of the Council and the Court of HKBU, was appointed as Chairman of the Standing Commission on Civil Service Salaries and Conditions of Service for a term of two years with effect from 1 August 2012. Mr. Wong is currently Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Hsin Chong Construction Group Limited.

Five Foundation Members received honours from the HKSAR Government 30 June 2012
Five HKBU Foundation members were included in this year's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Chief Executive Honours List in recognition of their significant contribution to Hong Kong and dedicated public and community service. Bronze Bauhinia Star (BBS)
	Dr. David Y.K. Wong, BBS, JP, Member of the Board of Governors and the Entrepreneur Committee, was awarded the BBS for his meritorious public and community service, particularly his valuable contribution to promoting trade and industrial development, as well as to the work of the Protection of Wages on Insolvency Fund Board. Dr. Wong is currently Managing Director of United Overseas Investments Limited.
	Dr. Vincent Woo, BBS, Honorary President, was awarded the BBS for his long and dedicated community service, particularly his valuable contribution to the development of post-secondary education. Dr. Woo is currently Managing Director of Wing Sheung (Holdings) Limited.
Medal of Honour (MH)
	Dr. Leung Lun, MH, Member of the Entrepreneur Committee, was awarded the MH for his outstanding and dedicated community service in Kowloon City District. Dr. Leung is currently Chairman of Lung Cheong International Holdings Limited.
	Mr. Lee Man Bun Edmond, MH, Honorary Permanent President, was awarded the MH for his dedicated community service, particularly his contribution to the work of Yan Chai Hospital. Mr. Lee is currently Managing Director of Lee & Man Paper Manufacturing Limited.
	Mr. So Chung Ping, MH, Chairman of Tsim Sha Tsui District Kai Fong Welfare Association, Honorary President, was awarded the MH for his outstanding and dedicated community service in Yau Tsim Mong District.

Professor Albert S.C. Chan, Mr. Simon Suen and Dr. Lee Yuk Lun appointed Justices of the Peace

Professor Albert S.C. Chan, JP, Ex-officio Member of the Board of Governors and Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation and President & Vice-Chancellor of HKBU, Mr. Simon Suen, JP, Member of the Board of Governors and the Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation cum Member of the Court of HKBU, and Dr. Lee Yuk Lun, JP, Member of the Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation, were appointed Justices of the Peace by the HKSAR Government with effect from 30 June 2012.
