Mr. Raymond Ip, Honorary President of the HKBU Foundation and Managing Director of Tat Lee Confectionery and Novelty Company Limited, hosted a banquet in celebration of his father Mr. Yip Yiu's 90th birthday. The banquet was well-attended by over 300 guests.

Several HKBU Foundation members and representatives of HKBU were invited to attend the event, including Dr. Yip Wai Hong, BBS, MH, Senior Member of the HKBU Foundation; Rev. Eric Tong, Council member of HKBU; Ms. Marianna Tsang, Member of Alumni Committee and Senior Member of the HKBU Foundation as well as President of the HKBU Century Club; Mr. So Hon Wai, Chairman of the HKBU Economics Alumni Association; Rev. Dr. Ip King Tak, Honorary Director of the HKBU Foundation and Chaplain of HKBU, and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement.

 

Mr. Mak Wah Cheung Perry, Managing Director and Executive Director of Hong Kong Economic Times (HKET) Holdings Limited and Publisher of HKET, was invited to share in a luncheon organised by the Institute of Creativity recently. Mr. Mak shared his wisdom on "Creativity in Adversity" with over 50 students and staff of HKBU. Professor Albert S.C. Chan, JP, President and Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Lo Tai Chin, Member of Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation and Vice-Chairman of W. Haking Enterprises Limited, and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement, also attended the sharing.
