Mr. Brandon T.C. Liu, JP (third from right), Member of the Board of Governors of the HKBU Foundation and Honorary Member of the Court of HKBU, accompanied by his daughter Miss Gabrielle Liu Kai Wan (second from right), hosted a dinner for HKBU representatives on 11 October 2013 to exchange views on mutual collaboration and the University's visual arts education. The HKBU representatives attending the dinner included Professor Albert S.C. Chan, JP, President and Vice-Chancellor; Professor John Aiken, Director of the Academy of Visual Arts; Mr. Peter Benz, Programme Director of Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Visual Arts; and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement.

The University recently received a generous donation of HK$1 million from Mr. Brandon Liu for the establishment of the Ai Ju Young Artist Entrepreneur Funding Scheme to support graduates of the Academy of Visual Arts to start their own businesses.
