 | | The HKBU ‧ EVOKK Golf Day 2014 was held with great success on 21 November 2014 at the Eden Course of The Hong Kong Golf Club in Fanling. This is the 11th successive year that HKBU has organised the Golf Day. The event attracted 180 golf-lovers, including business and community leaders, HKBU staff, alumni and students, who formed 46 teams to take part in the tournament. It successfully raised HK$1.5 million for the University's long-term development.
The ceremonial tee-off was officiated by Dr. Wilfred Wong, SBS, JP, Chairman of the HKBU Foundation; Dr. Moses Cheng, Chairman of the Education Commission, HKSAR; Mr. Allan Kwong, Title Sponsor and Chairman of Certiz Premier Products Limited; Dr. Ronald Lu and Ir Dr. K.K. Wong, GBS, JP, Co-Chairmen of the Organising Committee; and Professor Albert S.C. Chan, JP, President and Vice-Chancellor.
After the keen competition, a dinner cum prize giving ceremony was held. In his address, Professor Frank Fu, MH, JP, Associate Vice-President and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Allan Kwong for being the Title Sponsor of the event and all other sponsors for their tremendous support to the event. He also thanked Dr. Ronald Lu, Co-Chairman of the Organising Committee, for his excellent leadership and wise counsel, as well as the members for their valuable support which facilitated the smooth running of the event.
