In celebration of the 55th Anniversary of the University, Century Club has organised a fundraising film show "Qiu Jing" on 6 October 2011 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Philip Kan, Vice-President of the Century Club, thanked the National Arts Holdings Limited for sponsoring the film and alumni for their unfailing support for the Club and the alma mater.

Prior to the film show, a cocktail was held whereby Prof. Frank Fu, MH, JP, Associate Vice-President and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation, and Ms. Marianna Tsang, President of the Century Club, presented a souvenir to Mr. Sin Kwok Lam, Chairman of the National Arts Holdings Limited as a token of appreciation.
