The China Fortune Foundation and the China-India Fortune Foundation hold Charity Dinner 14 November 2011
The China Fortune Foundation and the China-India Fortune Foundation, Honorary Presidents of the HKBU Foundation, held a Charity Dinner on 14 November 2011 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, in celebration of the third anniversary of the China Fortune Foundation and the founding of the China-India Fortune Foundation. The officiating guests were Mr. Li Gang, Deputy Director of the Liasion Office of The Central People's Government in the H.K.S.A.R.; Mr. Gao Yu-chen, Deputy Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the P.R.C. in H.K.S.A.R.; Mr. Gaddam Dharmendra, Consulate General of India in Hong Kong; The Hon Jasper Tsang Yok-sing, GBS, JP, the President of the Legislative Council of H.K.S.A.R.; Professor Albert S.C. Chan, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU; Dr. Barton Yu, Vice-President and Executive Director of GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Limited; and others. The Dinner was well attended by over 600 honourable guests. To encourage the exchange of ideas between China, India and Hong Kong, the China-India Fortune Foundation will organise academic forums fostering the cooperation between China and India. The first academic forum was held on 15 November 2011 at the World Trade Centre Club Hong Kong. It was officiated by Ms. Rita Fan Hsu Lai-tai, GBM, GBS, CBE, JP, Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the P.R.C.; Professor Rick Wong, Vice-President (Research and Development) of HKBU; and Mr. Lee Yu Leung, Chairman of the China Fortune Foundation and China-India Fortune Foundation. 	Mr. Bernard Wu appointed Chairman of ACCA Hong Kong Committee 5 November 2011
	Mr. Wu Tak Lung Bernard, Senior Member of the HKBU Foundation and Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Century Club, was appointed Chairman of ACCA Hong Kong for the term of 2011-2012. Mr. Wu is currently Managing Director of Private Equity of Agricultural Bank of China - ABCI Investment Management Limited.

Tsim Sha Tsui District Kai Fong Welfare Association celebrates its 58th Anniversary and Kai Fong Festival 28 October 2011
Tsim Sha Tsui District Kai Fong Welfare Association, Honorary President of the HKBU Foundation, hosted the dinner to celebrate the 58th Anniversary of the Association and Kai Fong Festival on 28 October 2011 at its hall. Officiating at the dinner were: Mr. So Chung Ping, Chairman of the Executive Committee of Tsim Sha Tsui District Kai Fong Welfare Association; Mr. Lam Cho Kwong, Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of Tsim Sha Tsui District Kai Fong Welfare Association; Mr. He Jing, Deputy Director-General of the Kowloon Sub-office of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR; The Hon Sir David Akers-Jones, GBM, KBE, JP, Chairman of the Business and Professional Federation of Hong Kong; Mr. Hilton Cheong-Leen, CBE, JP, Chairman of The Hong Kong Civic Association, and others. Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement, attended the dinner on behalf of the University.
