The China Fortune Foundation and the China-India Fortune Foundation, Honorary Presidents of the HKBU Foundation, held a Charity Dinner on 14 November 2011 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, in celebration of the third anniversary of the China Fortune Foundation and the founding of the China-India Fortune Foundation. The officiating guests were Mr. Li Gang, Deputy Director of the Liasion Office of The Central People's Government in the H.K.S.A.R.; Mr. Gao Yu-chen, Deputy Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the P.R.C. in H.K.S.A.R.; Mr. Gaddam Dharmendra, Consulate General of India in Hong Kong; The Hon Jasper Tsang Yok-sing, GBS, JP, the President of the Legislative Council of H.K.S.A.R.; Professor Albert S.C. Chan, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU; Dr. Barton Yu, Vice-President and Executive Director of GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Limited; and others. The Dinner was well attended by over 600 honourable guests. To encourage the exchange of ideas between China, India and Hong Kong, the China-India Fortune Foundation will organise academic forums fostering the cooperation between China and India. The first academic forum was held on 15 November 2011 at the World Trade Centre Club Hong Kong. It was officiated by Ms. Rita Fan Hsu Lai-tai, GBM, GBS, CBE, JP, Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the P.R.C.; Professor Rick Wong, Vice-President (Research and Development) of HKBU; and Mr. Lee Yu Leung, Chairman of the China Fortune Foundation and China-India Fortune Foundation.
