Professor Albert S.C. Chan, JP, President and Vice-Chancellor, recently hosted a lunch for Professor Jao Tsung-I, GBM, JP, Honorary Consultant of the Mr. Simon Suen and Mrs. Mary Suen Sino-Humanitas Institute (SHI), and Dr. Simon Suen, JP, Chairman of SML Group Limited, Honorary Director of  SHI and Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation, to exchange views on the establishment of the Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology. Guests attending the lunch also included Ms Veronica Yiu and Ms Angeline Yiu, daughters of Professor Jao; Dr. Tang Wai Hung, Curator, and Dr. Peter Cheng, Head & Senior Researcher of the Jao Tsung-I Petite Ecole of The University of Hong Kong; as well as Professor Chen Zhi, Head of Department of Chinese Language and Literature cum Director of SHI, and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement.
