The University received from Mr. Lee Siu Lun, Managing Director of Siu On Realty Company Limited, and Mrs. Lee a generous donation of HK$3 million, of which HK$2 million was designated for the Centre for Holistic Teaching and Learning and HK$1 million for the School of Chinese Medicine. In recognition of the donors' generosity, the Lecture Theatre (WLB 205) on the second floor of The Wing Lung Bank Building for Business Studies was named the "Mr. and Mrs. Lee Siu Lun Lecture Theatre". A naming ceremony officiated by Mr. and Mrs. Lee Siu Lun, Mr. Cheng Yan Kee, JP, Chairman of the Council and the Court, and Professor Albert S.C. Chan, JP, President and Vice-Chancellor, was held on 10 December 2013.

In his address, Professor Albert Chan praised Mr. and Mrs. Lee Siu Lun for their devotion to charity and education. They are also enthusiastic in supporting the improvement of educational, medical and community facilities of their hometown. Their benevolence and contribution to society have set a role model for young people. Professor Chan said equipped with comprehensive audio and visual facilities, the Mr. and Mrs. Lee Siu Lun Lecture Theatre can be used for teaching and seminars benefiting many students.

The ceremony was well attended by family members of Mr. and Mrs. Lee, supporters and friends of HKBU, such as Dr. Wong Leung Kit Wah, Director of Gawina Limited, Mr. Shih Wing Ching, JP, Director of Centaline (Holdings) Company Limited, and Mr. So Chung Ping, MH, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Tsim Sha Tsui District Kai Fong Welfare Association, as well as Ms. Mabel Chan, member of the Council and the Court, staff and students of the University. After the ceremony, the guests toured the Lecture Theatre and watched the videos on the Centre for Holistic Teaching and Learning and the School of Chinese Medicine.
