The Fundraising Dinner for HKBU Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology was held with a great success at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 7 October 2013. The event raised more than HK$46 million for the Academy in support of the study of Sinology for the promotion of Chinese culture.

President Albert S.C. Chan, JP and Dr. Simon Suen, JP, Co-Chairmen of the Organising Committee, hosted a celebration dinner on 31 October 2013 for members of the Organising Committee in appreciation of their enthusiastic support for the organisation and fundraising work of the Fundraising Dinner.

Guests attending the celebration dinner included Professor Jao Tsung-i, GBM and his family members, members of the Organising Committee, key working staff and friends of the University. President Chan and Dr. Suen expressed their gratitude to Mrs. Fidelia Chan, Vice-Chairman of the Organising Committee, for sponsoring the celebration dinner.
