Visit by the Toi Shan Association of Hong Kong

A delegation of seven members from the Toi Shan Association of Hong Kong, led by Mr. Lam Yee Wing, Chairman of the Executive Committee, and Mr. Lam Kwok Chow, Chairman of the Supervisory Committee, paid a visit to the University on 10 October 2013.

Founded in 1876, the Toi Shan Association of Hong Kong has a long history of active participation in the community and charitable activities in both Mainland China and Hong Kong. It is concerned for the development and infrastructure of Toi Shan in the areas of medicine, education and transport and has donated nearly 200 million dollars for the betterment of the community over the years.

The delegation visited the Academy of Film and the School of Chinese Medicine to gain a better understanding of the teaching facilities and development of HKBU. They were warmly received by Professor Lu Aiping, Dean of Chinese Medicine; Dr. Zhang Hongqi, Director of the Teaching Division of the School of Chinese Medicine; Mr. Chan Yun Cheuk, Technical Officer of the Academy of Film; and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement. After the visit,  Professor Albert S.C. Chan, JP, President and Vice-Chancellor, hosted a lunch for the delegation at Shiu Pong Hall.
