Mr. David M.H. Fong, BBS, JP, Former Board Member of the HKBU Foundation and Honorary Court Member of HKBU, and Mr. Wong Kai Man, BBS, JP, Director of Fung (1906) Foundation Limited, Honorary Permanent President, and Victor and William Fung Foundation Limited, Honorary President of the HKBU Foundation, were awarded an Honorary Fellowship by the City University of Hong Kong on 16 September 2013, in recognition of their significant contributions to the development of that university.

Mr. Fong is currently Managing Director of Hip Shing Hong Group, Director of Fong Shu Fook Tong Foundation and Vice-Chairman of Fong's Family Foundation. Mr. Wong is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director of Shangri-la Asia Ltd., SUNeVision Holdings Ltd., SCMP Group Ltd., China Construction Bank Corporation, and VTech Holdings Ltd.
