1 July 2013 | | Four HKBU Foundation members and a donor were included in this year's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Chief Executive Honours List in recognition of their significant contribution to Hong Kong and dedicated public and community service. Gold Bauhinia Star (GBS) | |  | Dr. Joseph Lee Chung Tak, GBS, SBS, JP, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Governors, was awarded the GBS for his great enthusiasm and dedication to the public and community service in the past decades, particularly his signification contributions and devotion to charitable activities, social enterprises, educational service and youth development. As the Chairman of the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education since 2009, Dr. Lee has demonstrated excellent leadership in promoting civic education, core values and moral education and in organising related activities. He is currently Chairman of Wofoo Foundation Limited.
| | Silver Bauhinia Star (SBS) |  | Ms. Connie Wong Wai Ching, SBS, JP, Member of the Entrepreneur Committee and Honorary President, was awarded the SBS for her dedicated and distinguished public and community service, particularly her significant contributions to the promotion of civic education in Kowloon City District and her support to the Government in fostering district administration. She is currently Managing Director of Wong Sun Hing Limited.
|  | Mr. Stephen Yau How Boa, SBS, BBS, JP, Member of the Alumni Committee, was awarded the SBS for his long and distinguished public and community service, particularly his significant contributions to the work of the Liquor Licensing Board in his capacity as Chairman and social welfare development in Hong Kong. He is currently Chief Executive of the International Social Service Hong Kong Branch.

Mr. Ng is currently Chairman and Managing Director of Jibsen Capital (Holdings) Limited.
| | Medal of Honour (MH) |  | Dr. Ian Chan Yau Nam, MH, Permanent President and Ex-Officio Director of the Hong Kong Chiu Chow Chamber of Commerce, Honorary Vice-President, was awarded the MH for his valuable contribution to the promotion of academic and economic exchanges between the Mainland and Hong Kong. |
|   Dr. Liu Hong Fai and Dr. Gordon Tsui appointed Justices of the Peace
1 July 2013 | | Dr. Liu Hong Fai, JP, Member of the Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation, and Dr. Gordon Tsui Luen On, JP, Member of the Alumni Committee of the HKBU Foundation, were appointed Justices of the Peace by the HKSAR Government with effect from 1 July 2013. Dr. Liu is currently Founder Chairman of The Association of Industries and Commerce of Hong Kong Southern District Limited, while Dr. Tsui is currently Director and Deputy General Manager of Hantec Pacific Limited. |

Chan, GBS, JP, Honorary President of the HKBU Foundation, was awarded an Honorary Fellowship by The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology on 27 June 2013, in recognition of his contributions to higher education and the community. Dr. Chan is currently Chairman of Asia Financial Holdings Ltd. and Asia Insurance Co. Ltd. |
 | Dr. Moses Cheng awarded Honorary Fellowship and Honorary Doctorate
22 & 28 June 2013 | | Dr. Moses M.C. Cheng, GBS, OBE, JP, Member of the Board of Governors of the HKBU Foundation, was awarded an Honorary Fellowship by Beijing Normal University – Hong Kong Baptist University United International College on 22 June 2013, in recognition of his remarkable contributions to education, youth development and the community.
Dr. Cheng was also awarded the Doctorate of the Academy, honoris causa, by The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts on 28 June 2013 for his contributions to performing arts. Dr. Cheng is currently Senior Partner of P.C. Woo & Co. |
 | Dr. Justin Chiu awarded Honorary Doctorate
5 June 2013 | Dr. Justin K.H. Chiu, Member of the Board of Governors of the HKBU Foundation, was awarded the degree of Honorary Doctor of Law by the Trent University in Canada on 5 June 2013, for his unstinting support to his alma mater. Dr. Chiu is currently Executive Director of Cheung Kong (Holdings) Limited.
