The HKBU Foundation records with deepest sorrow the passing of Mr. Ian Robert Anderson MacCallum, Vice Chairman and Founding Trustee of the Croucher Foundation, Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation, on 5 April 2013. He was 82 years old.

Mr. MacCallum was a highly respected philanthropist devoted to the development of society and higher education in Hong Kong through his invaluable contributions to the work of the Croucher Foundation. The HKBU Foundation conveys its heartfelt condolences to Mr. MacCallum's family at this time of bereavement. He will always be remembered for his generous support for the development of the University.
