Mr. Tin Hing Sin (fourth from right), Chairman; Mr. Tai Hay Lap, BBS, JP (third from right), Vice Chairman; Mr. Tin Wing Sin (third from left) and Mr. Leung Pak Yan (second from left), Members of the Tin Ka Ping Foundation, met with HKBU representatives on 14 May 2013 to exchange views on the University's development and future collaboration with the Foundation. A welcome lunch was held after the meeting. The HKBU representatives attending the meeting and lunch included Professor Franklin Luk, Vice-President (Academic); Ir Dr. So Kwok Sang, Academic Registrar; Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement; and Ms. Edith Leung, Assistant Academic Registrar. The Tin Ka Ping Foundation was founded by Dr. the Hon. Tin Ka Ping, GBM, MBE, Honorary Trustee of the HKBU Foundation, in 1982. Dr. Tin and the Foundation have been providing longstanding support towards HKBU over the past two decades. Between 2008 and 2011, the Foundation made a total donation of HK$3.3 million, plus the government matching funds received for this donation, in support of the establishment of the Tin Ka Ping Education Fund for organising the HKBU Mainland China Distinguished Visiting Scholars Programme. |
