Professor Albert S.C. Chan, JP, President and Vice-Chancellor, recently hosted a lunch for Mr. Brandon T.C. Liu, JP, Honorary Member of the Court of the University and Member of the Board of Governors of the HKBU Foundation, to express our sincere appreciation for his staunch support towards the University over the years and to exchange views on the University's visual arts education and the development of the creativity industry in Hong Kong. The University received a generous donation of HK$1 million from Mr. Liu for the establishment of a fund to support our Visual Arts graduates to start their own businesses.
HKBU representatives attending the lunch were Professor John Aiken, Director of the Academy of Visual Arts; and Mr. Peter Benz, Programme Director of Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Visual Arts of the Academy; and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement.
