The University recently received a generous donation of HK$500,000 from Dr. Leung Lun, MH, Chairman of Lung Cheong International Holdings Limited and Member of the Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation, in support of the development of the School of Chinese Medicine in teaching, research, clinical service and technology, enabling the School to make further contribution to the promotion of the modernisation, internationalisation and specialisation of Chinese medicine. In recognition of the donor's generosity, a cheque presentation ceremony officiated by Dr. Leung Lun, Mrs. Elizabeth Leung and Professor Albert S.C. Chan, JP, President and Vice-Chancellor, was held on 20 May 2013. Guests attending the ceremony included his sons Mr. Paul Leung and Mr. Kenneth Leung; Professor Frank Fu, MH, JP, Associate Vice-President and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation; Professor Bian Zhaoxiang, Associate Vice-President and Director of the Clinical Division of the School of Chinese Medicine; and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement. Professor Chan hosted a lunch for the guests after the ceremony. |
