Mr. William Chan elected as Chairman of the 4th Board of Directors of Hong Kong General Tai Shan Clansmen Association Limited

Mr. William Chan, BBS, JP, Chairman of Lapton Electric & Machinery Ltd and Honorary Director of the HKBU Foundation, was recently elected as Chairman of the 4th Board of Directors of Hong Kong General Tai Shan Clansmen Association Limited (HKGTSCA). He, Dr. Chan Kwok Chiu, MH, JP, President of HKGTSCA, and Mr. Lau Kar Wah, Chairman of the Executive Committee of HKGTSCA, received the certificates of appointment at the Inauguration Ceremony held on 5 May 2014. Professor Albert S.C. Chan, JP, President and Vice-Chancellor, and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement, attended the Ceremony on behalf of the University.

Professor Peggy Lam awarded Honorary Doctorate

Professor Peggy P. Lam, GBS, OBE, JP, Chairperson of the Hong Kong Federation of Women, Honorary President of the HKBU Foundation, was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by University of Shanghai for Science and Technology on 3 April 2014, in recognition of her significant contributions to promoting the development of women affairs and education in the past few decades. Professor Lam is an Honorary University Fellow (2009) of HKBU.
