Dr. Joseph Lee appointed Honorary Fellow

Dr. Joseph Lee Chung Tak, GBS, JP, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Governors of the HKBU Foundation, will be awarded an Honorary Fellowship by City University of Hong Kong on 23 September 2014, in recognition of his significant contributions to education and social services as well as the development of the university. Dr. Lee is currently Chairman of Wofoo Foundation Limited. |

Ms. Linda Lam Kwan, Honorary Director of the HKBU Foundation, was elected as Director of the 65th Board of Directors of Pok Oi Hospital. Ms. Lam is currently Director of Great Harvest (Holdings) Limited.

Mrs. Susan So and Mrs. Mary Suen elected as Members of the 47th Term Board of Directors of Yan Chai Hospital

Mrs. Susan So, Honorary President of the HKBU Foundation, and Mrs. Mary Suen, Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation, were elected as Chairman and Director respectively of the 47th Term Board of Directors of Yan Chai Hospital. Mrs. So is currently Vice-Chairman of Winnie Sanitary Product Limited, while Mrs. Suen is currently Director of SML Group Limited.
The Inauguration Ceremony was held on 11 April 2014 and attended by many community leaders and government officials. Ms. Elizabeth Law, MH, Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation, and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement, were also invited.

Opening Ceremony of the Exhibition of Opulence of the Jao's Lotus: The Formation and Development of Jao's Lotus

Professor Jao Tsung-i, GBM, Honorary Permanent Director of the HKBU Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology, held an exhibition of "Opulence of the Jao's Lotus: The Formation and Development of Jao's Lotus" organised by the Soka Gakkai International of Hong Kong and the Jao Tsung-I Petite Ecole of The University of Hong Kong. The Opening Ceremony took place on 9 April 2014. Officiating guests included Dr. Simon Suen, JP, Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation, Mrs. Fidelia Chan, Honorary President of the HKBU Foundation, Mr. Wong Ting Chung, BBS, Honorary Vice-President of the HKBU Foundation, Mr. Tony Yue, MH, JP, Senior Member of the HKBU Foundation, and others. Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement, joined the ceremony on behalf of the University. |
