	Mr. Lee Yuk Fat elected as Chairman of the 3rd Board of Directors of Wanchai and Central & Western District Industries and Commerce Association Limited 2 April 2014
	Mr. Lee Yuk Fat, Member of the Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation, was recently elected as Chairman of the 3rd Board of Directors of Wanchai and Central & Western District Industries and Commerce Association Limited. Mr. Lee is currently Board Chairman of Volk Favor Food Limited.

	Mr. Herman Hu elected as Vice-President of Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong 27 March 2014
	Mr. Herman Hu Shao-ming, BBS, JP, Honorary Director of the HKBU Foundation, was elected as Vice-President of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China for a term of two years with effect from 27 March 2014. Mr. Hu is currently Chairman of Ryoden Development Limited and Honorary President of the Hong Kong Cycling Association.

Prof. Jao Tsung-i awarded Honorary Doctorate

Professor Jao Tsung-i, GBM, a world-renowned Sinologist and donor of HKBU, was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Shangdong University on 26 March 2014, in recognition of his extraordinary and longstanding contributions to the promotion of Chinese Culture. This honour has been approved by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council and it is Professor Jao's twelfth honorary doctoral degree. Professor Jao is currently Honorary Permanent Director of the HKBU Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology.

Hong Kong Economic Journal Company Limited won nine awards

Hong Kong Economic Journal Company Limited (HKEJ), Honorary President of the HKBU Foundation, won five awards in the Media Convergence Awards 2013 organised by the Hong Kong Association of Interactive Marketing:

Newspaper Category (Overall) – Bronze Award
Newspaper Category (Mobile) – Bronze Award
Newspaper Category (Social Media) – Bonze Award
Newspaper Category (Website) – Bronze Award
Merit

Moreover, the Newspaper Society of Hong Kong announced the results of 2013 Hong Kong News Awards on 18 March 2014. HKEJ won four awards including 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up in the "Best Business News Reporting" category as well as 2nd runner-up and merit in the "Best Headline (Chinese)" category.
