Dr. Kennedy Wong shared his experience at a staff retreat of HKBU

Dr. Kennedy Y.H. Wong, BBS, DCL, JP, Member of the Board of Governors of the HKBU Foundation, recently shared his experience with HKBU staff at a staff retreat. In the sharing, Dr. Wong talked about his company's successful acquisition of Ocean Grand Chemicals Holdings Limited and 3D-Gold. He advised that the University should identify and seize opportunities to advance its institutional development. Dr. Wong is currently a Managing Partner of Philip K H Wong, Kennedy Y H Wong & Co. He also serves as National Committee Member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Founding Chairman of the Hong Kong Young Legal Professionals Association and Executive Director of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce. He was selected as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons of Hong Kong in 1998 and one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons of the World in 2003.

GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Limited, Honorary President of the HKBU Foundation, was selected by Fortune Magazine as one of 25 of "The Most Innovative Chinese Companies 2010".

"The Most Innovative Chinese Companies 2010" were selected by Fortune Magazine (Chinese version) and Pan-Pacific Management Institute from 60 companies according to the following eight criteria: overall evaluation of management, corporate strategy, marketing, financial management, organisation and human resources, technology R&D, internal work flow and external collaborations.

	Mr. Abraham Chan reappointed Serving Member of Hong Kong Council on Smoking and Health 18 August 2010
	Mr. Abraham Chan, Honorary Director of the HKBU Foundation, was reappointed as Serving Member of the Hong Kong Council on Smoking and Health, with effect from 1 October 2010. Mr. Chan is currently the Chairman of PuraPharm Group of Companies.
