"Guidelines on Sports Sociology", a new book by Professor Frank Fu

Professor Frank Fu, MH, JP, Associate Vice-President of HKBU, Secretary-General of the Board of Governors and Director of the HKBU Foundation, has recently acted as co-chief editor, with Professor Yang Xirang of Beijing Sport University, of a new book, "Guidelines on Sports Sociology". The book, published by the Higher Education Press in Beijing, covers the theories, operation, management and research about sports sociology. It is the first tertiary level text book on the topic to be subsidised by the State Education Ministry.

Celebratory Party on "Classical Music for Parents' Day" hosted by Tsim Sha Tsui District Kai Fong Welfare Association 15 May 2012
Tsim Sha Tsui District Kai Fong Welfare Association, Honorary President of the HKBU Foundation hosted the celebratory party on "Classical Music for Parents' Day" on 15 May, 2012 at Tsim Sha Tsui Kai Fong Association Hall. The event was well-attended by more than 600 elderly of the community. Mr. So Chung Ping (center), Chairman-Executive Committee of Tsim Sha Tsui District Kai Fong Welfare Association, Mr. Lam Cho Kwong, Chairman Supervisory Committee of Tsim Sha Tsui District Kai Fong Welfare Association, etc hosted the ribbon-cutting ceremony with distinguished guests to celebrate the Fathers' Day and Mothers' Day. Distinguished guests attending the dinner were Mr. He Jing, Deputy Director-General of Kowloon Sub-office of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in HKSAR; Mr. Charlson Chiu, Assistant District Officer of Yau Tsim Mong District Office; Mr. Shum Wing Cheong, Assistant Director (Kowloon), Hong Kong Fire Services Department, and others. Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement of the University, was invited to officiate at the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
