24 June 2012 | Dr. Lo H. S. Vincent, GBS, JP, Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation, and Dr. Cheng Wai Kin Edgar, donor of the University, were awarded an Honorary Fellowship by the Beijing Normal University–Hong Kong Baptist University United International College on 24 June, in recognition of their achievements and exceptional contributions in public service. Dr. Lo is currently Chairman of Shui On Group; Dr. Cheng is currently Chairman of The World-Wide Investment Co. Ltd.

 | Dr. Hari N. Harilela conferred Honorary Doctorate
22 June 2012 | Dr. Hari Naroomal Harilela, GBM, GBS, OBE, JP, Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation, was awarded an honorary doctorate in Business Administration by the Edinburgh Napier University on 21 June 2012, in recognition of his significant contribution to business and higher education. Dr. Harilela is currently Chairman of the Harilela Group.

8 June 2012 | Professor Frank Fu, MH, JP, Secretary-General of the Board of Governors cum Director of the HKBU Foundation and Associate Vice-President of HKBU, was re-appointed as Non-Official Member of the Mega Events Fund Assessment Committee with effect from 15 June 2012 for a term of two years.
