Tsim Sha Tsui District Kai Fong Welfare Association, Honorary President of the HKBU Foundation, hosted a dinner reception to celebrate its 60th Anniversary and Elderly Festival at its hall on 22 November 2013. Officiating at the reception were Mr. So Chung Ping, MH, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Association; Mr. Lam Cho Kwong, Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the Association; Mr. Yiu Yu Hung, Vice-Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Association; Ms. Betty Ho, JP, District Officer (Yau Tsim Mong); Mr. Chen Cheng Hung, Division Chief of the Kowloon Sub-office of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR; The Hon. Tommy Cheung, SBS, JP, Member of the Legislative Council; Mr. Ivan Wong, Director of Kum Shing Group; Mr. Tommy Yu, District Commander (Yau Tsim) of the Hong Kong Police Force, and others. Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement, attended the dinner on behalf of the University.  

Shun Hing Group, Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation, hosted the "Shun Hing Group 60th Anniversary Dinner" at the Island Shangri-La Hong Kong on 8 November 2013. The officiating guests were The Hon. John Tsang, GBM, JP, Financial Secretary of the HKSAR; Mr. Hitoshi Noda, Consul General of Japan in Hong Kong; and Mr. Kazuhiro Tsuga, President of Panasonic Corporation.

HKBU representatives attending the dinner included Mr. Cheng Yan Kee, JP, Chairman of the Council and the Court; Professor Albert S.C. Chan, JP, President and Vice-Chancellor; Mr. Andy Lee, Vice-President (Administration) and Secretary; Professor Frank Fu, MH, JP, Associate Vice-President and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation; Dr. Justin Chiu, Member of the Board of Governors of the HKBU Foundation; and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement. Professor Albert Chan had composed a couplet for presentation to Mr. David Mong, Vice-Chairman of Shun Hing Group, on the occasion.
