The University recently received a generous donation of HK$250,000 each from the Tin Ka Ping Foundation and eLearning Forum Asia in support of the academic activities organised by the Centre for Holistic Teaching and Learning.
In recognition of the donors' generosity, Professor Franklin Luk, Acting President and Vice-Chancellor, presented a new book, entitled Studies on Teaching and Learning (Volume 3), to Mr. David Day, Chief Executive of the Tin Ka Ping Foundation, Dr. Jerry Yu, Chairman of eLearning Forum Asia, and Mr. Ronald Lee, Managing Director of BEENET, at the book launch on 8 April 2014.
The Tin Ka Ping Foundation was founded by Dr. Tin Ka Ping, GBM, MBE, Honorary Trustee of the HKBU Foundation. The donation will be used to fund the University's hosting of the Higher Education Research and Development Society of Australasia Conference to be held in July 2014 while the donation made by eLearning Forum Asia will support the e-learning endeavours at the University.
