A delegation of 13 members from the Hong Kong Kowloon City Industry and Commerce Association (KCICA), led by its President Dr. Simon Siu and Chairman Dr. Leung Lun, MH, paid a visit to the University on 14 March 2014.
Mr. Andy Lee, Vice-President (Administration) and Secretary, expressed his appreciation to the Association for its kind arrangement for the visit, as well as to its members for taking time out from their busy schedules to visit HKBU. Founded in 2004, KCICA has actively participated in the community affairs of Kowloon City. The Association endeavors to improve the well-being of the district by organising different kinds of seminars and activities, as well as developing social enterprises. Its social commitment concurs with one of the University's strategic focuses in providing dedicated service to the community. Mr. Lee hoped that the delegation could gain a better understanding of the University and he looked forward to collaborating with KCICA in nurturing talent for the community.
Both Dr. Simon Siu and Dr. Leung Lun highly appreciated HKBU's philosophy of Whole Person Education. Based in Kowloon City, KCICA shared deep associations and friendship with HKBU. The Association expressed its concern and support for the University in its quest for the ex-Lee Wai Lee campus site for building a Chinese medicine teaching hospital for the long-term development of HKBU and the higher education sector.
Dr. Leung Lun is currently Vice-President of the HKBU Foundation and member of the Entrepreneur Committee. To express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Leung for his staunch support to the HKBU Foundation, Mr. Andy Lee presented him with the Foundation Certificate at the event.
