Foundation Members' Updates | 28 October 2010 | |    | Dr. Philip Wu, Dr. Royce Yuen and Dr. Jonathan Choi appointed Members of two Museum Advisory Panels 20 October 2010 | Dr. Philip Wu, BBS, JP, Member of the Board of Governors of the HKBU Foundation, was appointed as Chairman of the History Museum Advisory Panel. Dr. Wu is currently a Director of Wing Lung Bank Limited. Dr. Royce Yuen, JP, Member of the Alumni Committee of the HKBU Foundation, was appointed as Member of the History Museum Advisory Panel. Dr. Yuen is currently Chairman of Ogilvy Hong Kong. Dr. Jonathan Choi, BBS, DCL, JP, Chairman of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Honorary President of the HKBU Foundation, was appointed as Member of the Science Museum Advisory Panel. Dr. Choi is currently Chairman of the Sun Wah Group. The above appointments are effective for a period of two years from 20 October 2010 to 19 October 2012. |
 | Dr. Tin Ka-ping won "Hong Kong Loving Hearts" 17 October 2010 | Dr. Tin Ka-ping, GBM, MBE, Honorary Trustee of the HKBU Foundation, won the honour of "Hong Kong Loving Hearts" in the "Hong Kong Loving Hearts Campaign 2010". The campaign was organized by Asia Television Limited, in which ten Hong Kong people were elected and recognized for their outstanding contributions to Hong Kong. Also named as a "Star of Education", Dr. Tin is a philanthropic entrepreneur who relentlessly offers staunch support to education. He donated 85% of his wealth to charitable foundations, which benefited over one hundred schools in both Mainland China and Hong Kong. |
