Dr. Vincent H.S. Lo, GBS, JP, Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation, was appointed as member of the Lantau Development Advisory Committee with effect from 14 July 2014 to 31 January 2016. Dr. Lo is currently Chairman of Shui On Group. |

Dr. Wilfred Y.W. Wong, SBS, JP, Chairman of the HKBU Foundation, was re-appointed as Chairman of the Standing Commission on Civil Service Salaries and Conditions of Service. The appointment will take effect from 1 August 2014 for a term of two years. He is currently Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Hsin Chong Construction Group Limited. |

Opening Reception of the Exhibition of the Charm of the Ming & Qing Dynasties in the Paintings and Calligraphy by Professor Jao Tsung-i

Professor Jao Tsung-i, GBM, Honorary Permanent Director of the HKBU Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology, held an exhibition of "The Charm of the Ming & Qing Dynasties in the Paintings and Calligraphy" organised by the Jao Tsung-I Petite Ecole of The University of Hong Kong. An opening reception was held on 4 July 2014. Guests attending the opening included Mrs. Fidelia Chan, Honorary President of the HKBU Foundation; Mr. Choi Hin To, MH, Honorary Permanent Chairman of the Hong Kong Chiu Chow Chamber of Commerce, Honorary Vice-President of the HKBU Foundation; Miss Chloe Suen, Chairperson of the Simon Suen Foundation; representatives of Soka Gakkai International of Hong Kong, and others. Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement, joined the event on behalf of the University. |
