The Hong Kong Federation of Women, Honorary President of the HKBU Foundation, hosted an Inauguration Ceremony and Spring Festival Gala at the Kowloon Bay International Trade & Exhibition Centre on 28 February 2015. Dr. Peggy Lam, GBS, OBE, JP was re-appointed as the Chairperson 2015-2016. Dr. Lam is an Honorary University Fellow (2009) of HKBU. |

Mr. Philip Kan appointed as non-official member of the Town Planning Board

The Mr. Philip Kan, Member of the Alumni Committee of the HKBU Foundation, was appointed as non-official member of the Town Planning Board with effect from 1 March 2015 to 31 March 2016. Mr. Kan is currently Vice-President of the HKBU Century Club. |

Mr. Chan King Cheung shared on the future development of journalism

Mr. Chan King Cheung, BBS (third from right), Adjunct Professor of the School of Communication, recently gave a talk on "News v Noise - the future of journalism beginning from a BBC report" at a faculty and staff assembly of the University. In the talk, Mr. Chan provided an insightful analysis of the media ecology and the future development of journalism in the era of the internet. Dr. Jacinto Tong (fifth from right), Member of the Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation and Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Gale Well Group, hosted a dinner in celebration of its successful results on 13 February 2015. Professor Albert Chan, JP, President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Rick Wong, Vice-President (Research and Development), Mr. Andy Lee, Vice-President (Administration) and Secretary, and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement, attended the event to share the joy.
